Zhao Dong felt some regret. He wanted to beg for forgiveness, saying that he was just momentarily blinded, but he didn’t say anything. Shen Qinglan was with several men. But the principal already knew Shen Qinglan’s identity from Fu Hengyi. She was the daughter of the Shen family. It was ridiculous that people with such status would do that kind of thing.

Zhao Dong was stubborn. The principal was threatening him to keep the benefits of Shen Qinglan by joining forces with Shen Qinglan and pretending to be on the side of justice. He decided to report him to the Education Bureau. The principal sneered and commented “Such a childish boy.”

Zhao Dong did go to report the matter, and the officials of the Education Bureau came to verify the situation with the principal. At first, it was just a warning as punishment, but the final result needless to say was Zhao Dong got expelled from B University. He became the first student in the history of B University to be expelled.

This matter caused a lot of trouble, and soon enough, because of this, the matter of Shen Qinglan being the daughter of the Shen family spread like wildfire. But of course, this was a story for some other time.

When Shen Qinglan returned, it was already evening, and it was Gu Yang who was driving while looking sickly.

When she reached the school entrance, she stopped in her footsteps, not going in. She turned into a quiet path near the school.

After walking for a while to make sure that no one was around, she paused in her steps.

“Aren’t you tired after following me all day?” Shen Qinglan’s clear voice rang in the darkness.

There was no movement from behind her.

Shen Qinglan was in no rush. She just stood there, waiting. She was very sure that someone was following her, and had been following her since she left the school. She tried to lose the person, but the person was not weak, and had no ill will towards her, so she just ignored it.

Few more minutes passed, but the person didn’t show up. Shen Qinglan suddenly turned around and just at that moment, a shadow pounced towards her, striking out viciously, aiming straight at her vitals. If her vitals got hit, Shen Qinglan was sure to get hurt.

Shen Qinglan’s eyes were cold and she moved her body to one side, avoiding the strike and raising her hand towards the attacker.

The person was not weak. They both fought each other for a while but no one seemed to be winning.

After fighting for ten minutes or so, Shen Qinglan seized a gap and grabbed the attacker’s throat, with just enough force that the attacker’s small life would be on the line.

“More?” Shen Qinglan faintly spoke.

The person shook her head vigorously, and Shen Qinglan let go of her throat. “You woman, your hands are still so cruel.” The person coughed vigorously a few times, pointed at Shen Qinglan hating the sound of her own voice.

But it turned out that the two of them actually knew each other. The person was a petite woman with long hair and a pretty face. She looked very young, probably in her early twenties, with fair skin and big eyes, a perfect beauty.

“Why are you here?” Shen Qinglan looked at her, her willow brows knitted. Jin Enxi touched the aching neck, “Of course I’m here to find you.”

She looked at Shen Qinglan with a bright smile and opened her hands, “Ann, long time no see.”

Shen Qinglan looked at her steadily for a long time, the corners of her mouth slightly hooked, slowly moving forward, “Long time no see.” Her face held a rare warmth.

The embrace did not last long. They immediately separated because both were not good with emotions, and soon, their faces returned to normal.

“Ann, I haven’t seen you for so many years. I didn’t expect for your skills to not have regressed at all, before I came here. I even bet with the others that I would be able to beat you this time, but I didn’t expect that you would still be the one to defeat me.” Jin Enxi’s tone was frustrated.

Shen Qinglan slightly paused, “They’re here too?”

“Well, it’s just me. Cecilia and Andre are busy making money, and Eden was in touch with them a while ago, but has disappeared recently. I guess Eden will go to some corner to study some strange potion.”

“When did they arrive?” Shen Qinglan asked.

Jin Enxi thought for a while and looked away before answering, “A week ago. I was supposed to come over at the beginning of the school year, but something tripped me up at the last minute.” Saying this, Jin Enxi’s face was a bit excited, “I didn’t expect to see a good show as soon as I arrived. Ann, your driving skills are really getting better and better. When are we going to have a duel?”

She rubbed her fists as she eagerly wanted to try it.

Shen Qinglan didn’t strike up a conversation, and Jin En Xi didn’t mind, already knowing Shen Qinglan’s personality. She’d be surprised if she could talk to her for half a day.

“The person who sent me the email this morning was you.” Shen Qinglan said with certainty.

“Enxi.” Shen Qinglan faintly spoke. Jin Enxi made a gesture to keep her mouth shut.

“When are you going to go back?”

Jin Enxi looked hurt, “We’ve only just met and you’re sending me back. Where’s the promised childhood sweetheart?”

“Is that how ‘childhood sweetheart’ is used?” Shen Qinglan gave her a look. (T/N: This is how her face looked (￣ ￣|||) )

“I don’t plan to go back. I’m here to study at B University.”

Shen Qinglan frowned, “Enxi.”

The smile on Jin Enxi’s face disappeared. She looked at Shen Qinglan fixedly with a serious expression, “Ann, I know what you’re going to say. Don’t worry, I won’t cause any trouble. I also know that I’m the one who broke my promise.”

When they first agreed to never see each other again, it’s true that the others hadn’t seen Ann for the past six years, but Jin Enxi still came to Z to find Shen Qinglan after hesitating for a long time.

“Ann, I really miss you.”

“I don’t live there.”
