On the next day, lessons  has began.

Almark was excited when Yilmaz, who he had not seen in a long time, told him to come to the magic practice room because he would start teaching him magic after lessons today.

After the regular lesson, Almark was about to leave the classroom, trying to hold back his excitement, when Wallis, a class rep, interrupted him and stood in front of the class.

"Listen up, everyone," Wallis said in a clear voice, "I need you to listen to me for a moment".

　He looked around the class.

"We need to decide who will be participating in the upcoming martial arts tournament. There will be two group , with five  people in each, for a total of ten. Eight boys and two girls."

　The class becomes noisy all at once.

　In this class, there are ten boys and six girls, for a total of sixteen. Almost all of the boys must attend.

"Only two boys are substitutes?"

　Morgen blurted out.

"Me and who else?"

"Why are you thinking you're will be take part in it?"

　Nelson said.

"The others are Torque and ......."

Nelson was interrupted by Wallis, who raised his left hand.

"I'm sorry, but I can't make it."

The class falls silent at this unexpected words.

"I injured my right arm while I was on vacation."

Wallis pulls up the sleeve on his right arm and reveals that it is covered with a bandage.

'Ew, no kidding! Wallis can't make it out, he's number one in our class!"

　Nelson exclaimed in disappointment.

"Wallis."

Torque also gave Wallis a stern look.

"You can beat them with one arm,. You've got to compete."

"No, I can't."

Wallis refused flatly.

"I've injured the right side of my right arm. I'm sorry.

"I'm not going to force myself here," Wallis said.

"I've got Ms. Fia's permission."

　The soft expression on his handsome face remained unchanged.

The class was left in a sour mood as Torque clicked his tongue.

"The girls will be represented by Leila and Wendy. Anyone have any objections?"

　No one could possibly have any objections. It was obvious to everyone that these two were the best of the girls in class .

　Wallis paused for a moment to make sure no one had any objections before addressing Wendy.

'Wendy, are you ready?

Yes."

　Wendy nodded.

"Leila?"

"No."

　Leila answered immediately and everyone looked at her.

　Leila looked out the window, looking bored

'You escape yourself, but what makes you qualified to let others do it? Wallis."

'Then I don't mind.'

　Wallis nodded without changing his expression.

'You can go and tell Ms. Fia yourself. If you have a good reason for not attending, that is."

　Leila looked at Wallis with bitterness in her eyes.

'I'm leaving ......,' she said.

"Done."

　Wallis chuckled.

The girls are decided,. Now it's time for the boys."

　Then Wallis called out their names.

"Torque. Almark."

They look up, and Wallis says, "You are going to leaders  of  the groups.

You are the leaders. Torque is in group 1, and Almark is in group 3. Each of you will take a turn and name one boy, for a total of six.

"I'll go with Garain and Deg."

Torque names his followers.

"I said in order. "Take one of them," Wallis said crisply.

　Wallis snapped.

"Wallis, I don't mind," Almark said.

Almark said.

　"I'll take Nelson," Almark said.

　Oh," Nelson replied happily.

" Well, pick another one," I've already picked two,"

　Wallis replies.

　(This is the first time Wallis and I have had a real conversation. ......, )

Armark thought as he looked around at the remaining boys.

'Well then,...... Raido.'

　Almark names one of the boys.

All right, Torque then."

'That's ...... Pillman.'

　Torque names another boy, and there are two boys left, except for Wallis. Morgen and Beyer.

Almark, pick the last one," Wallis suggested.

Wallis asked, and Almark answered without hesitation.

"Morgen."

　Mogen let out a gasp, and Beyer, who had not been chosen, looked relieved.

"And the boys are settled.

　Wallis clapped his hands.

The first group is Torque, Garain, Deg, Pillman, and Wendy, and the third group is Almark, Nelson, Morgen, Raido, and Leila.

Almark left the classroom and approached Wallis, who was in the hallway about to leave.

"Wallis."

　Wallis turned around.

"Hey, Almark."

"I need to ask you something. .......""

　Wallis nodded with a smile at Almark's words.

"What is it? If I know what you want."

"Why don't you want to participate in the ...... martial arts tournament?"

What?"

　Wallis smiled in return, but there was a sharp light in his eyes.

"You are..."

Almark did not care about the look in his eyes, and continued.

"Is there a reason why you don't want to participate in the martial arts tournament? You're so strong."

　He looked Wallis in the eyes.

"You even lied about being injured."

At these words, Wallis' eyes took on a dangerous glint, but his expression remained the same as before.

"......I don't feel the need to answer that idiotic question of yours, Almark.."

　Wallis replies in only a calm tone.

'I'm injured and  teacher has given me permission to be absent. That's all that matters."

"...... I see. "

Almark turns back to him.

　Wallis stared coldly at his back as he walked away.

　He was no longer smiling
