Ye Wei Yin felt very hot, and so using her right foot she pushed her comforter under her feet, licked her lips, and continued to hug the comforter and slept… until someone threw a pillow towards her and she reflexively sat up, her eyes open in shock. 

At the moment, she was in an average bedroom that was furnished very exquisitely. On one side of the bed there was a huge basket of red roses, with hundreds of roses in it. The fragrant smell of the flowers seeped into her heart and Ye Wei Yin’s mood couldn’t help but become better. 

“Are you awake?” 

Suddenly, from the side of her ear, a cold and deep voice of a man appeared. Ye Wei Yin was seized with shock and slowly turned her head, like a robot would, and found the man who had almost hit her with his car staring at her with a blank expression. 

“Why are you here?” Ye Wei Yin asked, clearly confused at what she saw. 

One side of He Chi Yuan’s mouth pulled upward and he coldly said in a mocking tone, “This is my hotel room.” 

“Why am I here then?” Ye Wei Yin racked her brain till it was mush. She took a serious look at him and realized that although he dressed elegantly, he was a two timer and this led her to feel a strong feeling of disdain. 

If he liked to mess around so much, there’s no way… with me? she thought. 

Ye Wei Yin swiftly pulled the covers off and checked her clothes and soon after involuntarily let out a shriek.

Ye Wei Yin aggressively accused him, “You arrogant snob, you would go as far as to take advantage of me!”

He Chi Yuan raised his eyebrows. “What? Take advantage of you?” He stared at her contemptuously, looking straight into her big eyes. “You? Your type is like trash, I would never take a second glance at you! In fact, I think it was you who has taken advantage of me.” 

“You!” Ye Wei Yin was angry now. If this was supposed to be tolerated, then what else was she supposed to tolerate? He was not only insulting her appearances, but humiliating her character! How to say the truth so easily! Ye Wei Yin pressed her lips together. “Then who changed my clothes?” 

“Me.”

“…” Ye Wei Yin wanted to yell ⓕⓤⓒⓚ  you. 

He Chi Yuan continued speaking, “Getting a fever and catching a cold at the restaurant, after eating you just left.” After he finished talking, he didn’t even wait for Ye Wei Yin to fully comprehend what he said, and got ready to leave. 

“Wait, the last thing I remember was that I was at the restaurant entrance, what happened?” 

“Because of you I overate, ate until 2 in the morning, just until you were frozen cold. That’s why I took responsibility for you.” 

“…” Why were you so proactive in taking responsibility? she thought. 

Ye Wei Yin was dumbfounded, until she saw the time on the clock on the wall. Her brain buzzed, it was already twelve thirty! 

As He Chi Yuan was about to leave, Ye Wei Yin asked, “Uh, who paid for this room?”

 “It’s already paid for.” 

“Oh, then I will leave! You don’t need to see me out.” 

“…” 

Ye Wei Yin wasn’t someone that took advantage of people at every turn, but she was seriously short on money. 

After He Chi Yuan left, Ye Wei Yin opened the tv and watched for a bit. Then she went to take a shower. As she entered the bathroom, she was both jealous and shocked at the bathroom that was almost the size of a living room. In her lifetime, she was able to stay in such a luxurious hotel, better yet, it was free of charge! 

Grinning from one ear to another, she hummed a tune as she took her bath. As she sang, she abruptly came to a stop and her facial expression changed. No wonder people caution against celebrating too early when things could still go wrong—Ye Wei Yin just remembered she hadn’t checked out of her own hotel room yet! She had bought a plane ticket for tonight, yet she still hadn’t seen master Julien! 

Ye Wei Yin immediately got up, bubbles still on her body from the bath, but she didn’t care and directly wrapped a towel around herself as she ran out of the bathroom to look for her phone. She called her hotel and learned that if checked out of her room before three o’clock, it would be half price. Her hotel was only 500m away from where she was right now and so she could afford to pay someone to bring her luggage over. After she hung up with the hotel, Ye Wei Yin called the airline and exchanged her flight that night for one for tomorrow. 

Ye Wei Yin was counting her chickens before they hatched—this fancy of a house, it would be a waste if no one lived in it. Anyways, as long as she returned it by tomorrow, it was fine. Plus, she was sick today and didn’t have the energy to go find master Julien today, tomorrow would be fine too. 

With all that sorted, she returned to her bath. After taking her time, she wrapped a towel and boiled water to take her medicine. It was then that she saw the bag of medicine and was dumbfounded. Even if she had a cold and a fever, did she have to take all the pills in the bag? Ye Wei Yin picked up the bag and read the instructions. All the writing was in French, none of which she understood. 

Ye Wei Yin sighed. Usually she didn’t get sick often and didn’t have many memories of eating medicine nor did she know how many of the pills to take. Eating an extra pill or two wouldn’t hurt, right? She took three of each type of pill and swallowed them with water in one gulp. Once the pills were swallowed, she returned to the bed and watched tv. 

Since Ye Wei Yin’s English wasn’t that good, she grew bored of watching things she didn’t understand. That’s when a wave of sleepiness went over her and she turned the tv off and went to sleep. 

At the time, she didn’t know that in the bag of pills were some of He Chi Yuan’s sleeping pills that he forgot to remove…

Ye Wei Yin slept very very deeply—like a dead fish lying on the bed, not moving at all.
