Chapter 14 - Water Magic

"Well then, today we will study water magic."

Today was another day of lectures by Mr.Redon.

"Once you learn the magic of water, your use of magic will expand. Therefore, I urge everyone to take it to heart." "Sir, does it matter if you don't know any magic?"

A student younger than me started yelling again. Then the whole classroom erupted in laughter. It was obvious that they were making fun of me. Oh well, I'll surprise them on the day of the duel, so I'll just have to be patient for now.

Water magic, though. The only magic I remember is pyrokinesis, the fire magic. On my left hand, I have the sigil of Aim carved. It might not be a bad idea to summon another demon and carve a sigil on my right hand as well. If that's the case, I'll need to summon a demon that can use water.

"Long time no see, Mr.Fulcas."

When I got home, I immediately decided to summon the ranked 50th Mr.Fulcas. I summoned Fulcas because I wanted to ask him which demon was appropriate for learning water magic.

I asked Orobas the same question, but he didn't seem to know much about other demons. "I'm sorry I can't help you!" Orobas cried and apologized.

That's why I decided to summon Mr.Fulcas. I knew that Mr.Fulcas was the best person to ask for advice.

"Oh, you're Norman ...... zzzz."

The summoned Mr.Fulcas was in his sleep. It was now seven o'clock in the evening. It is not yet eight o'clock in the evening when Mr.Fulcas sleeps, but he already wants to sleep. It's not good for Mr.Fulcas, so I should let him leave.

"Mr. Fulcas was hoping you could introduce me to the best demon to learn water magic." "If that's the case..... then you can go to.....Cro......cell..zzzz"

He seemed to be conscious, though vaguely, and managed to answer me. A demon called Crocell I see. Okay, I have to evict Mr.Fulcas as soon as possible.

So, I cast an eviction spell. Next time, I'll try to summon him at an earlier time.

"Then, let's summon Crocell."

The grimoire was arranged in order of precedence, but it didn't tell me the precedence of Crocell, so I had to flip through it page by page.

"There it was. 49th in the rank, Crocell.

Fulcas was ranked fifty, so he was one spot above him.

"Well then, Orobas. If there are any cases like Aim and goes out of control please stop them. "I will protect my master with my life!"

If I can cast the binding spell without taking too much time, I don't need to rely on Orobas though. I'll have to practice so that I can do it in short chants.

Okay, let's see if it's okay if I omit just a little bit of the summoning spell.

“I command thee in the name of Norman, that thou appear as a gale and show thyself in the magic circle. Come here from any part of the world and give me a rational answer to all that I ask. I summon thee, and thou shalt appear in peaceable form without delay. Come-- forty-ninth, crocell!”

The magic circle begins to glow. Thank goodness. It looks like it worked as usual.

"Thou shalt love thy neighbor. And worship the Lord."

As it said this, a demon appeared in front of him.

"What?"

I was astonished. I might have been more surprised to see it than any other demon I had ever summoned.

Because the one in front of me had the appearance of an angel, no matter how you looked at it.
