Chapter 18 – Fenrir King Koa

-Koa’s POV who was mistaken for a wolf-

I felt his lordship’s unprecedentedly enormous magical power covering the forest and when I left my dwelling, I saw a membrane of his lordship’s magic slowly descending from the sky.

As I rushed to find his lordship, I came upon him just as he fell backwards.

「Your lordship!」

I rushed over to him but he was checking his body with a somewhat surprised expression.

While that was happening, his lordship continued to release an inordinate amount of magical power.

If he loses all his magical power, he will die.

I put my paws lightly on the leg of his lordship who’s sitting on the ground and shook him. However, he never stopped his magic and I felt frustrated.

As the magic that had covered the forest disappeared into the depths of the earth, the release of magical power stopped.

However, his lordship seemed to have been exhausted as he looked very pale.

When he saw us around him, he looked a little troubled.

But from the way he immediately smiled and nodded, I guess he was okay.

But is he really okay?

The garm Ai rubbed his face against his lordship’s waist.

His lordship smiles a little and pats his head and after that, he checks his own body.

My husband, the direwolf Chai, comes next to me.

It’s more than amazing but it was his lordship so I guess it’s normal.

「Your lordship, where are you going!」

I stopped his lordship who was about to go to the forest.

His lordship, who looks a little troubled, seems to be going to the forest but we can’t let him do that today.

His lordship changed direction while thinking a little.

「Koa」

「What’s up, Boss-san?」

「I got a report that the monsters have returned to normal.」

「….when?」

「Just after his lordship used his magic with enormous magical power.」

「So, he did that to…protect the forest?」

「Yeah」

And we couldn’t even help his lordship.

「Did his lordship attempted to enter the forest because the cause is in the forest?」

My companions have examined the forest with their own powers but never found anything unusual.

I was beginning to think that the cause might not be in the forest but if his lordship is going to check the forest, then, the cause must be in the forest.

「There’s nothing I can do but to be with him. Well, that’s all I want to do.」

「I agree」

His lordship is kind.

He will keep me next to him like before.

I have to be careful to not make any more blunders.
