During the lunch break, I went to the cafeteria together with Akira to have a meal. I could have gone to the classroom for my lunch but I thought I’d follow Akira anyways to the cafeteria.

“You, you’re living apart from your parents right? To think that you could make lunch boxes on your own~Furthermore, it’s delicious”

Akira has always been sneaking a bite here and there from my side dishes.

“I know what I like way better than the school’s cafeteria, it’s more delicious this way.”

I lived apart from my parents in a condominium….., but it’s not that we don’t get along. My parents were transferred to another location for their job and I would like to try living alone so I thought the time was just right and so I lived on my own the moment I started high school. I was born in a slightly wealthy area, so I have never had a problem with money even though I live on my own. Well, at best you could call it preparation for getting into society and at worst it’s just me working part time to fund my hobbies and as a way to kill time if I’m being really honest.

A little while later,

“It’s about time we head back.”

Thus, I pass by my classmates as I walk in a straight line down the corridor on my way to the classroom.

It looks like Akira realized it too.

I’m a habitual late-comer, but I will make it even if I’m just a minute late. Really, good grief to be in such a hurry.

When we were approaching the classroom, I heard some kind of pleasant voice. See? There are still people who hasn’t even arrived yet.

It’s a surprisingly original punishment game… there’s no sense of humour in it. Well this is another class’s problem anyways so I shouldn’t really feel that bad about it. Not my problem, just as I was walking into the classroom

“Ahh~, that’s fine. That guy is a quiet and obedient herbivore so you don’t have to worry about being attacked.”

But this is troubling. I’ve been chosen as the other party in the punishment game. Usually it would be someone from a different class, I don’t want or need to get beaten up. Yeah, I’m going to turn it down politely.

After leaving that word behind, Akira entered the classroom.

“Oioi, please stop lying to me you guys. Could you somehow make it someone else instead…”
