*****

As she turned her head to look at the owner of the voice, she saw platinum blonde hair shining under the moonlight.

Arsene was walking towards her across the hallway, where only the moonlight fell. Purple eyes that glowed strangely in the darkness looked straight at her.

She seemed to get used to his silent appearance every time. It was at a level where anyone could say that he was an assassin.

Coming closer to her, he reached out and hugged Regina's waist. Then he looked at Lou standing in front of her, twisted his lips and smiled.

Contrary to his smile that was softly seduced her, it was a really villainous smile.

"Long time no see."

Her brows narrowed as he spoke comfortably, as if they had known each other. Those eyes looked at Lou and Arsene alternately.

"Do you know each other?"

Lou didn't seem to want to answer her question. He didn't say anything.

Arsene, who looked down at her, smirked at her words as he spoke lowly.

"Well, that's right."

When she looked at Lou, he lowered his gaze as if he couldn't even meet her eyes.

If Arsene was the kind of person who could talk to him comfortably like this, it was difficult to not know that she was engaged.  That said, there is a high chance that he will find out that his fiancee is the rare, dark-haired, Regina Blois.

Even if he didn't know her face, he could have guessed it well in the current situation.

Now, Arsene is blatantly hugging her waist and showing that he is not an ordinary person.

But he showed no sign of surprise.

He didn't ask if she was Regina Blois, nor did he ask if the fiance she was talking about was Arsene.

Perhaps he knew from the start that she was Arsene's fiancée, Regina Blois.

Regina guessed by herself and decided not to be confused, but to ask him herself.

"Lou, did you know who I was?"

His eyes, which she thought were pretty, could not meet her as if it had melted into darkness.

After a moment, he nodded his head.

".....Yes."

It wasn't that much of a shock because she guessed it. But with that, she felt a strange sense of betrayal.

He greeted Arsene as if in despair.

"It's been a while, brother."

'Brother?'

Regina stiffened at the strange ominousness of the word. It didn't seem to be just a title for a somewhat intimate relationship.

The bright shining moon was covered by clouds, creating a shadow.

The gaze that had been avoiding her was slowly interlocked like the sun and moon of the total solar eclipse. After hesitating for a while, his lips parted.

"Allow me to introduce myself. I am Logan Russell Kresimir."

She doubted her ears if she had heard correctly.

'Logan Russell?  Empress dowager son?'

Her pink eyes widened at the completely unexpected person. She then realized why he gave his fake name and not his real name.

It was a name she would have avoided right away if she had known.

The empress dowager, Arsene, and now Logan. Standing in front of her now was the man that Alicia was trying to ascend to the throne. That meant Logan would naturally become her enemy.

Upon learning that he was Logan Russell, she remembered how many times she had met him.

Maybe it was all planned?

Alicia tried to kidnap her twice. Maybe it was all under Alicia hand that he approached her and tried to get close to her.

She looked at Logan's closed mouth and asked.

".... Did you approach me on purpose?"

She guessed she got attached to him in that short time. She wanted him to say no.

"......"

But he didn't say anything. And that was his answer.

As Regina's expression darkened, Logan hesitated and opened his mouth as if to make an excuse for her.

"That's...."

But before he could say anything else, Arsene lightly cut it off.

"I don't know what happened, but I don't think it's something we're going to talk about here."

They were standing in the halls of the imperial palace where they were partying, and it was impossible to say that no people would come and go.

It was clear that this story would be a very interesting rumor if it went into someone else's ear.

Of course, that wasn't the only reason he stopped talking.

"If you want to talk, please come to the Duke of Greroy mansion later."

Regina Blois is the Duchess of Greroy.

She didn't say a word, but she looked at him instead.

Logan's expression distorted slightly as Arsene confidently revealed that she was his fiancee.

Arsene looked down at her, not minding his reaction.

"You were on your way to the lounge, weren't you?"

Regina took her eyes off from Logan, who was looking at her, and nodded her head. She had forgotten her purpose.

"Then we'll be going, so see you later, Logan."

He wrapped his arms around her waist and walked away. Regina suddenly followed him to the lounge.

Logan lowered his gaze and couldn't even look back.
