White Uroboros curled around Ernst with a threatening sound. A heavy mass could be felt. He was inside the carriage towards Bordeaux. Ernst grabbed his neck with a sensation that he couldn’t even determine.

He coughed. Red blood spattered. A groan broke out from Ernst’s suppressed mouth because the White Uroboros was putting some pressure without looking at the situation.

Ernst rolled off his chair. Ernst’s face, scratching his neck, turned red. The open mouth burst into intermittent breath. He gasped.

[Can you hear me?] White Uroboros spoke as he struggled.

[My sacrifice ran away. My brother managed to do it while you guys were just talking with each other.]

The hissing pierced Ernst’s ear. The snake relaxed its strength with a crash. Ernst then coughed and sprawled on the floor. He felt the body of a snake crawling slowly over his body.

[What are you going to do now?] The snake’s voice sounded threatening.

“Louella.” A cracked voice came out slowly.

“Did Louella break away from Nisephor?”

[I missed her right in front of my eyes. It looks like my nasty brother was playing tricks. What are you going to do now? How are you going to grab Logan to trap him? What are you gonna do to defeat my brother?] White Uroboros asked in a voice fluttering with anger.

The flowers that were put at the back fell into the carriage out of his anger. Ernst rose to his feet, suppressing the cold air he felt on his palm.

“………why are you so obsessed with the black snake? He’s a lost god anyway. You can’t be with him anymore and you live as a demon. Why are you afraid?” Ernst hit the nail on the head of a white snake.

“In the meantime, God has absorbed many souls.” Including Philias’ soul.

“When I heard that the purer the soul it is, the better, I gave my fiance to you. What else are you missing?” Ernst gritted his teeth.

He wiped the bleeding mouth off with the back of his hand. Ernst, who stood up from the chair and straightened himself, sat down leaning against the back. He had fixed up his disheveled appearance.

[Such a cheeky question.] The snake’s cold tongue brushed Ernst’s cheek. [I’m scared? With him? No way!]

Ernst knew, however, that the White Uroboros felt great fear and nervousness. White Uroboros had restrictions. Past battles had also hurt the white snake.

To restore strength, the white snake began to absorb the souls of humans. Nisephor. The disease was a curse that guided the human souls to the White Uroboros.

Monsters have attracted the souls of humans for the White Uroboros. That’s why the thing with the gate happened. Nevertheless,

God could not be abandoned in the Imperial Family, which ran the Arena Empire that had great faith in the White Uroboros. When the sacredness of the White Uroboros collapses, the Imperial power collapses as well.

“Then tell me the truth. What makes you so wary of the black snake?”

[You don’t know anything! You don’t know how sneaky and mean he is. This is not fear. Of course, it’s just a warning!] Ernst smirked.

“Are you not confident of winning?”

“You said that faith makes a place. Now, the black snake, the Black Uroboros, has appeared. They’re captivating people with miracles. When people get together, they’ll talk about miracles.”  Ernst snapped coldly.

Even if you go to Bordeaux, it would be impossible to block people’s mouths! At this point, even the White Uroboros had to do something.

“Show us a miracle. Show your strength and show your presence, as the black snake does. People will turn toward you in no time.”

[You just have to do what you’re told!]

You mean you can’t do it after all. Ernst laughed. The White Uroboros was nothing short of an empty shell. No matter how much it absorbed human souls, it was not able to regain its power.

What kind of god can’t perform a miracle? Ernst felt a deep sense of defeat at the moment.
