Chapter 4-9 : Discussing With Chloe (part 1)

Mylia took out the notebook, where she drew outfit designs, from her magic bag and spread it on the table so that Epada could see the content.

「Hoo… Lady Mylia, did you draw this?」(Epada)

「Yup!」(Mylia)

「This weird dress looks beautiful… I’ve never seen a dress like this before.」(Epada)

「No, no. It’s not a dress. This is called a “yukata”.」(Mylia)

「Yukata…? I see. It’s weird that this outfit has no buttons or lace.」(Epada)

「To wear it, you have to use a big belt called an “obi”. You see. Right here.」(Mylia)

As she said that, Mylia pointed at the torso part of her yukata design.

「So this is a belt, huh? No, ‘obi’, was it? What a fascinating outfit.」(Epada)

「I’m thinking of building a hot-spring bathhouse in the Atwood Territory, that’s why I want to make this outfit popular there.」(Mylia)

「I… see…?」(Epada)

Epada didn’t understand what Mylia was talking about but she knew that Mylia wanted her to make the outfit called a yukata.

She brought her face closer to the notebook and observed the drawing of the yukata closely.

「By the way, I still have many other outfit designs!」(Mylia)

Saying that, Mylia flipped the page without noticing that Epada was still observing her yukata design.

On the next page, there was a drawing of a cute sailor-style school uniform.

「Hoo, this one has an unusual design too… Is this a one piece?」(Epada)

「No, the top and the skirt are separated. Other than a bathhouse, I’m also planning to build a school in my territory, and all the female students will have to wear this uniform!」(Mylia)

「So this is a school uniform. I see.」(Epada)

Mylia hasn’t even told Chloe about the plan to build a hot-spring bathhouse and a school, but she kept getting ideas thinking that she could do whatever she wanted in the Atwood Territory once she becomes the feudal lord.

Epada, who learned that Mylia would do something big in her territory, somewhat felt excited. The fact that Mylia needed her help made her enthusiastic about it.

Epada had never thought that she would take part in Mylia’s big plan in developing the Atwood Territory by helping her make unique outfits.

She believed that it would become a very profitable business for her store.

While observing the sailor outfit design, Epada was doing the calculation in her head from securing the materials to planning the production line in order to realize Mylia’s plan.

「People know that the Atwood Territory is just a remote territory that only has lavender as its specialty product, but when I become its feudal lord, I will make it a unique territory. Therefore, I’m thinking of making fancy outfits for its people to wear.」(Mylia)

「I see. So you’re planning to create a unique culture starting from the clothes that the people in the territory wear. I think that’s a wonderful idea. I’m sure it will make a positive change to the kingdom. By the way, are you planning to turn the Atwood Territory into a tourist destination in the future?」(Epada)

Epada was impressed by how the little girl in front of her thought.

「I think it will take a long time but it would be nice if that happened.」(Mylia)

「So far, I understand your plan. Would you mind if I check the other outfit designs?」(Epada)

「Of course. Feel free to observe them. I’m sorry if I drew some parts badly. I’m not good at drawing, hehe.」(Mylia)

「No, they’re drawn well enough. Thank you, Lady Mylia.」(Epada)

Epada flipped through the pages of the notebook and observed various outfit designs that were drawn by Mylia.

She was fascinated by how unique the designs were.

Whenever she had questions about the designs, Mylia would explain it to her.

When the sun started to set, Mylia left the Cereu and returned to her mansion to have dinner with Chloe.

She told Chloe about her plan on building a hot-spring bathhouse and a school and explained to her about the outfit designs she made.

「ーーSo, I want to create our own clothing brand as one of the Atwood Territory’s specialty products! What do you think, Onee-chan?」(Mylia)

「Oh, Mylia… How could you make such a big business plan in just half a day without me knowing…?」(Chloe)

Chloe put down the fork in her hand and held her head.

「Don’t worry, I only spent a thousand gold coins for this plan, and we will be the first to wear the outfits when they are finished.」(Mylia)

「Hold on… So, you funded that boutique with a thousand gold coins?」(Chloe)

「Yup. For the first batch, I ordered three hundred outfits with different designs. The cost per outfit is three gold coins, so the total cost is nine hundred coins. I gave the remaining one hundred gold coins to Epada-sanー I mean, the owner of the boutique to pay for the inconvenience caused by Robin.」(Mylia)

Lately, Mylia has been giving Chloe, Aria, and Jasmine a lot of money as funds. Because of that, her financial sense was getting numb.

「I see… I think a thousand gold coins is too much for this plan, but… producing outfits with our own brand as a specialty product is a good idea. If we can realize it, we can attract many boutiques in this kingdom to cooperate in the clothing business with us. By the way, have you decided on our outfit brand name?」(Chloe)

「I haven’t, but Epada-san suggested “Dragolya”.」(Mylia)

「Dragolya… The combination of ‘Dragon Slayer’ and ‘Mylia’, right? It sounds wonderful!」(Chloe)

「Do you think so?」(Mylia)

「Yeah, I think it’s a great name for our brand!」(Chloe)

Mylia didn’t seem so happy about that brand name but on the other hand, Chloe totally agreed with that name. She thought that Epada has a good naming sense.

「Oh, right. Onee-chan, when you’re done building your company, we will need your company’s help to advertise and sell our outfits. Do you think it’ll be possible?」(Mylia)

「Yeah, no problem. I’m sure it’ll be one of the biggest sources of income for my future company.」(Chloe)

「Really!?」(Mylia)

「Without a doubt. Let’s do our best to realize it, Mylia!」(Chloe)
