There’s a Treasure!

—When you find a gorgeous door in the dungeon, be careful. The Grim Reaper will attack you.

It’s a common knowledge that you learn in dungeons when you first become an adventurer, because the doors you open are often filled with either demons that control the area or vicious traps.

The door that Christo opened was piled high with gold coins, jewels, and works of art. Even from a Nobleman’s point of view, they must be worth quite a lot.

“Ku, Christo–sama! We found the treasure!”

“Now you can finally start cultivating your territory!”

The two unnamed followers rushed to the treasure, and Christo smiled as if he were obsessed with gold.

No wonder. Even Regina was stunned by the unrealistic scene.

I called out to her.

“I think it will take some time to examine such a large amount of treasure. Why don’t we stay at the entrance and guard the perimeter?”

“Yeah, I guess so. I’ll do that.”

“Then I will report to Christo–sama.”

After confirming that Regina had left the room to guard the passage, I headed towards Christo.

The three of them had just reached the mountain of treasure when I saw them.

“This is a coin from a lost magical kingdom!”

One of the excited squires tried to snatch up the gold coin. At that moment, the concentration of magic power in the entire room increased dramatically. In addition, the door automatically moved, trapping Christo, his servants, and me.

I hear a knock on the door from behind me. Regina, remaining outside, is probably banging on the door, but it’s difficult to break down a room strengthened by magic using only physics. I don’t think she’ll be able to get inside.

“The treasure has disappeared?!”

Christo was fuming because the mountain of treasures had disappeared neatly.

If they could get their hands on something that valuable that quickly, all Adventurers would be rich. The treasure was all an illusion. It’s a common dungeon trap.

And the trap doesn’t end there.

Black smoke swirled up from the center of the room. He didn’t seem to notice it because it was happening behind Christo.

It was easy to see what was going to happen next. I moved to the edge of the room and hid behind a nearby pillar to get a better look.

The black smoke formed a single shape, and a monster was born.

“Woooo!”

The one that let out a silent scream was a humanoid monster. The body was transparent, and it had no legs. It was floating in the air. He was holding a large sickle in both hands.

I’ve never seen anything like it, but I’m guessing it’s a [Ghost] or a [Wraith]. The magic power leaking from its body indicates that it is definitely strong.

“Monster!”

“Christo-sama, please help me!”

The followers who had been hit by the monster’s magic power, had their hearts broken at the first shot, clung to Christo’s arms and begged for help.

But the person to whom they asked for help was not safe either.

“What the hell is this ……?”

His legs were shaking and his face was so white that he looked like he was about to collapse.
