Jun Qingyu leaned in his embrace and asked, “When will we go home?”

“Homesick?”

Jun Qingyu contemplated. Well, he wasn’t homesick. His concept of home was fuzzy and the villa was, at most, a residence. He just wanted to go back with Fu Yuanchuan.

Jun Qingyu said, “It’s boring here.”

Fu Yuanchuan patted his head, put down his drink and hugged him up, “In a few days, someone from the Federation will come over to sign the pact, and we can go back after it’s done.”

“It’s over?”

Fu Yuanchuan nodded, “The Federation is in a constant state of internal strife, and the situation for Tordis and the other marshals is fundamentally stable. After signing the pact, it will be up to the Federation to sort things out internally.”

It was almost a few months after calculation.

If it weren’t for the Federation’s inter strife disrupting their tempo, it might not have concluded so fast.

The arc of Jun Qingyu’s eyes curved like a crescent moon and he held his hand as he said, “With all this internal strife, I’m guessing you know someone on the Peace Faction.”

“I do.” Fu Yuanchuan didn’t shy away from this in front of the little fish, “I’ll let you meet them when we sign the pact.”

Jun Qingyu simply mentioned that in the passing, but he didn’t expect that there was really someone. Moreover, they seemed to be able to influence the situation; their status shouldn’t be low.

It didn’t matter how it was arranged, it was good to have someone who could say something.

It didn’t matter if he met them, he didn’t want to get involved in these matters.

In any case, it was good news for the Empire that the war would end early.

The Central Control Room was utterly silent, and Fu Yuanchuan asked softly when he found that Jun Qingyu was not saying anything, “Tired?”

“No, I’m thinking about the future.” Yu Manqing’s arrest was equivalent to the end of the last important plot point in the original story, and after they returned, it was time to deal with the terrible mess left behind by the nobles and the previous imperial leaders.

There were still a lot of things and there might not be a chance to travel for a while.

At the very least, they won’t be able to leave the Empire, in that case…

“We can reopen the desert store when we get back.” After signing the pact, the Empire will no longer give any fruits and vegetables to the Federation. If this happens, the Empire can supply more fruits and vegetables.

In addition, no one would deliberately cause any trouble, and the dessert store did not have to be as secretive as before, but the matter with the spring water still cannot be exposed. The simple use of spring water was still possible, or simply mix the fruits and vegetables in his space with the interstellar fruits and vegetables–that was doable too.

Then he could have also someone watch over the store so that he would not be too busy, and some of the systems and ordering machines in the store would have to be replaced.

Previously, he had used the most primitive ordering machines in order to guard against Fu Chengyu but now, he didn’t have to think so much about it.

He didn’t want to make a roundabout trip to the city central. He started a business so that he could check it out and ponder over it in his spare time.

“Anything you want, I’ll listen to you.” Fu Yuanchuan would not make arrangements for what the little fish had to do, he just wanted him to be happy.

Jun Qingyu smiled at that, “Aren’t you afraid that if the imperial consort opens a dessert shop, someone will chew on you behind your back?”

“Chew on me?” Fu Yuanchuan thought, “What would they say? State that the imperial consort is not arrogant and is too close to the citizens? It’s not a bad thing.”

Jun Qingyu was stunned, feeling that Fu Yuanchuan’s words were somewhat reasonable.

Moreover, the dessert store first emerged under the name of the Imperial marshal and his husband, and it seemed to be pretty much the same between the two of them.

Fu Yuanchuan stroked the little fish’s long hair, “You don’t have to be bound by your status, you can do whatever you want.”

He would do his best to give the little fish the status and the freedom he deserves.

Jun Qingyu wrapped his arms around his neck and tilted his head, “You’re so good to me?”

“I’ll do my best to be better.”

The ice cubes in the drink gradually melted. Fu Yuanchuan made subtle movements as he settled the little fish onto the bed. He was ready to lie down when all of a sudden, he knitted his brows, turned around, and suppressed the sound of his coughs.

Jun Qingyu heard something indistinct, frowned and narrowed his eyes to look in the direction of that sound, “Yuanchuan?”

“It’s nothing, I choked for a bit.” Fu Yuanchuan patted his back and coaxed, “Go to sleep.”

Jun Qingyu was also tired from the entire day. During this period of time, he didn’t rest much for the purpose of studying reagents, and today, he worked around the clock. After disposing of the robots, he started making desserts; it was time to get some sleep.

Late at night, Fu Yuanchuan checked Yu Manqing’s personal information.

The information includes all the information from his birth to the latest update, which showed that Yu Manqing was born and raised in the Empire, and had no connections with the Federation.

The other classified document, however, contains information about Yu Manqing’s time in the Federation.

The first one was found by Shi Kaixin, and the second, was passed over here by those people from the Federation.

The first document alone could not conclude that Yu Manqing’s identity was flawed but when he thought about it, he would not have survived this long if there were any gaps in his identity.

Before he finished reading the details, his light brain flickered with a message.

[A section of the information has been destroyed, likely due to the preparation they have made in order to send a person to the Empire, but this should be enough to convict him.]

Fu Yuanchuan: [Mhm, you’ve worked hard.]

[Brother, that can’t be right? Why are you still being so polite to me? Tell me what information you need, and I’ll dig it out for you.]

Fu Yuanchuan: [No, that’s enough.]

[Okay, see you in a few days.]

Fu Yuanchuan: [Mhm.]

After Fu Yuanchuan had transferred that portion of the information on the Federation to Shi Kaixin, he put down his light brain, pulled the little fish into his embrace and closed his eyes to rest.

Early next morning.

Jun Qingyu sat on the bed as he ate his breakfast. Fu Yuanchuan had something to do and didn’t even have breakfast before he left.

Not long after Fu Yuanchuan left, Shi Kaixin’s voice came from outside, “Sir? Are you awake?”

“Come in.”

Shi Kaixin walked in and said with a smile, “Do you have any plans for today? The marshal said if you are bored, I can take you out for a walk around here.”

Jun Qingyu shook his head. Ever since he arrived here, he spent most of his time in the room, and it was only yesterday when he came out. The garrison was large, but he did not have any interest in going out for a walk.

Shi Kaixin did not persuade him when he saw that. He just thought for a short while and said, “Oh, that’s right. The punishment of those supporting Lu Manqing has been settled. Those who have been demoted, have been demoted, and those to be transferred to a civilian post, have done so. All of them have been transferred to the other marshals.”

The transfer to a civilian post was much more serious than a demotion. If the latter worked hard in the interstellar war, there was a chance of promotion, but it was essentially impossible for a civilian post.

Jun Qingyu ate a small piece of the apple, “All of them?”

“Yes, all of them.” Shi Kaixin explained, “Yu Manqing’s undercover status as a Federal is solid, and coupled with the issue in their attitudes towards you then–the marshal has taken it very seriously.”

“Mhm.”

It was good that they had been demoted; they wouldn’t have to carry the title of a military officer and be so contemptuous over it.

All the marshals Jun Qingyu had met did not have an air of arrogance, and the common soldiers had always been respectful. It was just those in the middle, with a difficult situation, who liked to meddle around despite being busy with work.

They had been under the command of His Majesty, but all of their prior operations have been wiped out now that they have been transferred to another marshal, and they were the ones who were concerned.

After Jun Qingyu had breakfast, he slipped the fruit juice calmly and asked, “Why didn’t you go to the meeting?”

Shi Kaixin’s rank was exhibited here. As far as he knew, all the officers seemed to have left.

“I’ll remain here to protect you.” Shi Kaixin stated as a matter of course.

Jun Qingyu: “……”
