The armless dragons begin to charge towards Sarge, who begins to dive. There were two of them, and they were not as big as Sarge, but they were pretty big. I think they’re called wyverns?

I also attacked the wyverns with fireballs and hydro streams as I swooped down.

The two wyverns looked at each other, then ignored Sarge and flew towards me.

As I dodged the first one that rushed at me at high speed, the second one ran over me, knocking me off balance and sending me tumbling to the ground in a heap.

Both of them were looking down at me, and the one who had run away seemed to be smiling triumphantly.

“Damn, as expected of a dragon, he’s moving quite good ……! That way! !”

I missed ……! I tried to shoot ahead, but it was dodged just in time. However, he seemed to be in a panic. If so, why don’t I try this?

I controlled my posture and looked at the wyvern directly across from me, and it started circling around me, looking for an opportunity to attack. I wonder if this is a strategy to gradually narrow the circle and attack me all at once? They may not be able to talk, but it’s still smart, just like the coordination it used earlier.

I unleash a slow fireball at them. The wyverns then tilt their heads and laugh.

I approached it with them Levitation and slashed the first one’s wings with my Sargeblade, and as the blood spurted out, it began to fall. I thought if I held on to it, it wouldn’t attack me, so I hugged its neck and fell with it. If I do this, they can’t attack me.

Just as I was hoping to fly away, another one came at me with great force, despite my intentions!

As I swiped at the wyvern’s tail with my sword, a thorn grazed my arm, causing it to bleed. At that moment, I feel my body go numb.

“You  still want to go, huh ……! Ohhhhh ……?”

When I was almost on the ground, the Wyvern grabbed me with his foot, flapped his wings wide, and slowly landed on the ground.

“Grrrrr ……”

“You wanted to save this guy, didn’t you?”

“Grruuu.”

“I guess it can’t be helped .”

I cast a recovery spell on the Wyvern, who was looking around, and healed his wing, and I said to the Wyvern, who was watching me.

“I’ll tell you what, since you seem so smart, we’re here to train. That dragon over there is my friend. We’re not here to kill you, so I’m sorry, but we’d appreciate it if you’d keep quiet.”

“Grrr ……”

“Oh, what is it. That tickles ……”

When I finish, the wyvern rubs his nose against mine and makes a short purr. I’m relieved that he understands and quickly turn my attention to the distant Sarge.

“There’s a lot of them around …… Can we do it without killing them?”

There are wingless dragons that look like dinosaurs surrounding Sarge and the others, and Sarge threatens them, and Makina and the others get into a fighting stance to turn away any enemy that comes at them. 

But it’s a critical situation, and she clicks her tongue, thinking that if she’s outnumbered, she’ll be in trouble even if she doesn’t lose.

“If I fire magic from above to the ground …… Eh, what’s happening?”

“Uwaaah!?”

The wyvern bit my collar and threw me up into the air, where I immediately floated up and onto my back. He flew low and headed for Sarge and the others.

He was flying in the line of sight of the giant Sarge, so I said so, and the wyvern began its slow descent and landed safely on the ground.

As I was explaining the situation to Makina, she and Luciel raised their voices in concern. I laugh and hold her hand to show her that I’m okay.

“At any rate, It’s really a Dragon’s island. That guy is strong, but that lizard thing earlier looked strong too.”
