Lian Fang Qing didn’t notice anything wrong and was still chattering excitedly, laughing.

“Okay, okay, let’s go now.” Lian Fang Zhou glanced at Ah Jian, who nodded and smiled.

“Go ahead!”

Seeing the two sisters hold hands, Ah Jian turned and walked towards Sun Zhang Xing, who was waiting under the shade of a tree.

As Ah Jian had said, Madam Li, Madam Sun, and their families listened to her very well and having them made Madam Zhao easier to get along with, as she would not dispute how Lian Fang Zhou arranged them.

The only small factor was the little wolf brought by Lian Fang Qing.

Because she was worried that Xiao Hui’s wild nature would be difficult to control, Lian Fang Zhou did not want to bring him along. However, Ah Jian had said that Xiao Hui would grow up sooner or later and enter the wild world. It would be better to let him get used to things as a child, when he would be easier to control, instead of waiting until he was a wild adult and out of control.

Right now, Xiao Hui was so excited that his eyes were gleaming, and he was jumping for joy as if he had been injected with chicken blood. Lian Fang Qing alternated between yelling at him and coaxing him softly from time to time, trying to teach him to calm and quiet when he wanted to be lively.

Lian Fang Zhou couldn’t help but take a few more glances, seeing Xiao Hui like this tugged her heart a little. After all, he was a wolf and though he had been raised at home and was familiar with her family, it was clear to see the wolf’s wild nature was still deeply ingrained.

Lian Fang Zhou had to smile from time to time to remind Lian fang Qing to keep an eye on him.

Madam Sun and Madam Li were also a little nervous. They walked stiffly behind Lian Fang Zhou and watched Xiao Hui vigilantly.

Zhang Liang was very eager and wanted to get closer but was gently pulled back by his mother. He did not dare to pout.

In the spring season, everything flourished and there were indeed many mushrooms in the mountain. A lot of mushrooms grew in the places they had identified last year.

Paying attention to Ah Jian’s words, Lian Fang Zhou did not go to the dark areas of the forest and only wandered in the sunny, brightly lit places.

Seeing the mushrooms, she gave a brief and concise lecture on how to identify the correct mushrooms before sending everyone to pick them.

Lian Fang Qing didn’t need to do anything, she just looked after her Xiao Hui.

Xiao Hui was very disobedient and would run around at every turn. Lian Fang Zhou told Lian Ze: “You don’t need to follow us, keep an eye on Qing’er and look after Xiao Hui. I won’t go anywhere dangerous. This place is bright and open, don’t worry!”

Lian Ze thought for a while before agreeing.

He glanced at Zhang Liang, who was watching him imploringly, and smiled: “Sister, let Ah Liang come with me?”

Zhang Liang was overjoyed and quickly looked between his mother and Lian Fang Zhou nervously.

Lian Fang Zhou couldn’t directly call the shots, so she looked at Madam Li.

How could Madam Li not know that her son was at the age of playfulness and freshness. On most days, it was hard to get time to play and she knew he admired Lian Ze’s ability. She smiled and said: “Second young master said that you can go, so go! Just don’t be naughty. It is easy to fall or get lost in this big mountain and we aren’t here for fun! Don’t be lazy and listen to Second young master and Fourth miss if they have any orders.”

Zhang Liang promised his mother happily and nodded quickly, not forgetting this parent’s teaching. He thanked Lian Fang Zhou and went with Lian Ze.

They were very lucky today. The chanterelle mushrooms were very tender with a creamy color and smooth texture. They were delicious whether they were fried or eaten raw.

Four people sat in one corner of the area, carefully picking the mushrooms as they joked and exchanged gossip.

For their trip, Lian Fang Zhou had specially prepared several sacks that were not too big or small and were perfect for this type of rare, tender fungus. He planned to pack them in the bags so they would not be crushed or damaged.

Since this was a gift for her family, although she couldn’t offer anything expensive, she was willing to put her heart into it.

After Ah Jian met with Sun Zhang Xing, the two of them walked into the mountains.

Sun Zhang Xing couldn’t help but glance in the direction Lian Fang Zhou and the others had walked before patting Ah Jian on the shoulder and smiling, winking and saying in a low voice: “Ah Jian, I think the Miss treats you very well! This is good.”

Ah Jian agreed with this.

Thinking of the cause and effect that had led to him joining the Lian house, he couldn’t help but sigh slightly. Nodding, he said sincerely: “Yes, Lian Fang Zhou is very good to me.” He added: “Their whole family is very good to me.”

Unexpectedly, Sun Zhang Xing laughed when he heard this. He gave Ah Jian a weird look and seemed to be debating if Ah Jian had really misunderstood or was only pretending. He couldn’t find any clues, however, so he smiled again and said: “That’s not what I meant! Ah Jian, you are really amazing. How can I put it? You are different than the people from our village and you have such great ability. Ha, unless it’s a ghost with an obsession who doesn’t know good from bad, everyone would treat you well!”

He moved closer and lowered his voice, smiling mysteriously: “What I meant was that Miss Lian treats you nicely but its different than how others treat you.”

“Different? Good?” Ah Jian was startled, his whole body stiff.

He had never thought about it, he had just accepted it and not noticed. However, he wasn’t stupid.

Now that Sun Zhang Xing had said it, he could understand after just a moment of thought.

Immediately, a wonderful joy burst out from the bottom of his heart like a clear spring. Ah Jian’s heart suddenly felt soft and his whole mental appearance changed slightly, the corner of his eyes and lips rising with a touch of gentleness.

As if in vain, his whole spirit was dazzling. His originally tall figure became taller and Sun Zhang Xing, who was standing beside him, suddenly felt a sense of pressure and subconsciously retreated to the side.

However, this kind of incomparable joy was quickly restrained, like a candle that had been burning too brightly immediately dropping into darkness when the dazzling light was extinguished.

Sun Zhang Xing couldn’t help but be stunned by the change, feeling a little confused and uneasy in his heart for no reason. He secretly complained that he shouldn’t make random jokes with Ah Jian in the future.

Seeing that he was uneasy, Ah Jian turned his head and smiled at him, saying in a faint tone: “I am very grateful for Miss Lian to take me in. Big Brother Sun, don’t make such jokes in the future! It’s not good for Miss Lian for people to say such things outside.”

“Oh, you don’t need to say it, don’t need to say it! Haha, don’t worry, I will never talk nonsense. Miss Lian is the savior of my family, how could I return her kindness by ruining her reputation?” Sun Zhang Xing nodded his head hurriedly. He couldn’t help but take a suspicious glance at Ah Jian, thinking that his heart and expression had clearly…

“Well, Big Brother Sun is a trustworthy person, I can trust you!” Ah Jian nodded, his voice still low.

Sun Zhang Xing chuckled and hurriedly changed the subject, chatting with him about a fairy vine found in the mountains.
