Lian Fang Zhou’s eyes were immediately drawn to Ah Jian. He glanced at her and smiled.

“You guys are here!” Fang Qing greeted them with a smile: “Breakfast has just been delivered. Let’s eat and go horse riding later.”

Together, they went into the restaurant.

Su Jing He coughed suddenly, his eyes drifting over to Ah Jian and Lian Fang Zhou shamelessly. He smiled causually: “Last night was good, right? Hehehe!”

Lian Fang Zhou stiffened, fighting the urge to look back at him. The muscles on her face twitched fiercely.  Obviously, her cousin had not trained him enough!”

“It was okay.” Ah Jian replied lightly but there was a smile in his voice.

Lian Fang Zhou sucked in a breath. Really—

“Oh, what about tonight?” Su Jing He continued, patting him on the shoulder.

Ah Jian smiled casually: “Don’t worry about it.”

From the front, Fang Qing suddenly glared at her husband: “What are you two talking about? You aren’t leading Ah Jian astray, right?”

“No!: Su Jing He hurriedly said, smiling: “I was just asking him if he slept well last night! It’s a very ordinary question, hehe!”

Fang Qing stared at him suspiciously and then looked at Ah Jian.

Ah Jian smiled. “Don’t worry, Young Madam. Even if he wanted to corrupt me, he doesn’t have the ability! And if I find out that he’s been lax in his studies, I will definitely tell Young Madam!”

“You—!” Su Jing He was speechless.

Lian Fang Zhou let out a puff of laughter. Originally, she was thinking of using this method to warn Su Jing He but who knew that Ah Jian would do so first!

Fang Qing couldn’t help but laugh. She glanced at Su Jing He’s unwilling and indignant expression and smiled at Ah Jian. “Then I will accept your kindness!”

“You’re welcome, Young Madam!”

Third Aunt and the others did not understand the conversation and just regarded it as a common household chat.

The group reached their table and sat down for breakfast, discussing the horse riding.

Except for Third Aunt, everyone was very excited.

Lian Fang Zhou saw that Third Aunt seemed a little interested at first, but she quickly became bored and began to yawn.

Selecting a cheerful looking maid, Lian Fang Zhou instructed her to accompany Third Aunt to walk around until they met up again at noon.

Third Aunt was very happy with this arrangement, immediately chatting with the maid as she left.

Like Lian Ze and Lian Fang Qing, this was Lian Fang Zhou’s first time horse riding. She was both nervous and excited.

Fortunately, the horses at the racecourse were very well trained and docile, so it didn’t take long for the novices to master the basics. After a few laps around the racetrack, the group led their horses out for a stroll.

Ah Jian was very skilled in mounting and dismounting, as neat and tidy as flowing water. Even he was surprised at how familiar the feeling was, as if it was imprinted on his blood and bones. He seemed to remember something but was unable to put the feeling to words.

Seeing this, Lian Fang Zhou sighed in her heart and gently directed her horse to his side. “Did you think of something?” She asked softly. “Don’t force it if you can’t think of it. Since it feels right, I believe that one day it will come to you.”

Ah Jian relaxed. Her encouraging words gave him home. She was right, unlike when he first lost his memory, his mind was no longer a chaotic black fog. After several small reminders, when he thought of the past, he could now thing of some small things. This was a good sign.

Ah Jian’s riding skills were very good but the mount under him was very calm, so he couldn’t show off his full ability. Even so, the horse trainer looked at him with surprise and admiration.

Though he wanted to ask about it, the horse trainer had a low status and didn’t dare to talk about it. On the other hand, Su Jing He, Fang Qing, and the others were all casual riders and didn’t notice anything different.

They just thought that Ah Jian’s posture was particularly good looking and relaxed. After saying a few words, they moved on.

Su Jing He and Fang Qing still had things to do at home so they didn’t stay long, leaving after breakfast on the third day. Lian Fang Zhou and the others stayed for another three or four days, relaxing in the gardens.

Over the few days, riding skills of the siblings were not bad. They were at least able to control their horses with ease.

Boys at this time especially loved horse, just like men in the modern era liking cars. Lian Ze did not have much interest in anything else and couldn’t wait to spend all day at the racecourse. His riding was much better than his sisters.

Third Aunt and Lian Fang Qing, accompanied by the serving maid, walked the entire Xiuyuan. They especially liked to try the various delicacies at the restaurant.

As for Lian Fang Zhou, of course she spent her time with Ah Jian.

All in all, everyone was satisfied and happy.

In the blink of an eye, it was time to go back. Lian Fang Zhou originally thought that Lian Ze and Lian Fang Qing would be reluctant to leave. To her surprise, the two happily packed their bags without saying a word.

Although they were sad to leave, their feelings were normal and casual.

Lian Fang Zhou prepared a stomach of comforting words that were completely useless. She couldn’t help but ask in frustration: “You’ve had so much fun these days, don’t you feel a little bit reluctant?”

Ah Jian glanced at Lian Fang Zhou.

Lian Ze smiled: “No matter how good this place is, it’s not our home. I really miss our house and Che’er! And there are many things to do at home.”

“Me too! Me too!” Lian Fang Qing bounced. “I miss Xiao Hui and my chickens! I don’t know if Madam Li took good care of them or how many eggs they laid!”

Lian Fang Zhou felt pleased and even a little moved. She nodded and smiled with satisfaction. “You are all good children, I can rest assured if you think like this.”

Lian Ze immediately protested: “I am not a child!”

His sister quickly agreed: “Me too! Me too!”

Everyone laughed.

Before going back, they stopped at the Su family again to say goodbye.

Before Su Jing He and Fang Qing had left, Su Jing He had asked to see Lian Fang Zhou alone and begged her to see Su Xin’er.

If Fang Qing was the one asking, Lian Fang Zhou would have probably refused.

Though she was sympathetic to Su Xin’er’s predicament and would not take revenge, sympathy did not mean forgiveness or concern.

Su Xin’er had harbored a deep hatred for her and wanted to destroy her without the slightest hesitation.

But she could see Su Jing He’s dilemma as an older brother and his love for his sister. She could also feel the sincerity of his plea despite his shame.

Su Xin’er suffered a disease of the heart. Ancient societies were conservative and Su Xin’er had grown up spoiled. After going through such an experience and coming up out of the water with her clothes messy and torn, in today’s society, she may as well have been naked in public. Of course she was in shock.
