Chapter 510: Little brothers and sister are angry

Lian Che had happened to be at home today and after he heard what happened, he was so angry that he went to find Lian Fang Qing. The two of them left the house, one carrying a bamboo broom and the other carrying a stick as thick as a copper coin, to knock angrily on Madam Qiao’s door.

Without a word, the two of them pushed the door open and started to beat Madam Qiao until she was panting for breath.

The two of them were neither too old or too young and under their rage, Madam Qiao had no strength to resist. She was beaten into a mess by the two, besides yelling and dodging, how could she escape?

She should have been thankful that Lian Ze was in the city overseeing the construction of the cotton factory, otherwise she would have been even more in pain.

Madam Qiao screamed and ran all over the yard. There was no part of her body that was not bloody, not her face, head, or back. Her sister-in-law had originally wanted to step forward and help her but when she saw how fiercely Lian Che and Lian Fang Qing were beating her, she was too afraid. Instead, she ran and hid as not to be beaten as well.

Lian Li was not at home but Lian Hai was busy studying in his room.

Hearing his mother’s ghostly howls and wails of ‘son, save me! Save me!” Lian Hai was shocked. Leaving his books, he hurried over.

When he saw his younger cousins beating his mother so viciously, his eyes went wide in disbelief. Anxiously he scolded: “Stop! Stop!”

But how would Lian Che and Lian Fang Qing be willing to listen to him?

Furious, Lian Hai cried: “Che’er! Qing’er! Have you gone crazy? If you have something to say, say it! Who taught you to be so vicious!?”

Seeing her son, Madam Qiao’s confidence lifted. With a burst of strength, she rushed towards him and hide behind Lian Hai.

Seeing this, he quickly blocked Lian Che and Lian Qing, who were about to catch up, and shouted: “Che’er! Qing’er! Stop!”

Madam Qiao was extremely embarrassed and in a lot of pain. Her hair was so disheveled, she looked like a female ghost. Panting, she was trembling so hard she couldn’t speaking.

There were no words to describe the grief and shame in her heart. She had never had such an unlucky day in her life!

Breathing hard, her legs softened, and Madam Qiao slumped onto her butt. Slapping the ground, she cursed and wailed loudly.

“Mother! Mother!” Lian Hai called her twice but she didn’t hear him at all. Giving up, he glared at Lian Che and Lian Fang Qing: “How can you two be so arrogant at such a young age! You need to grow up! Che’er, you are going to take the imperial examination, do you want to ruin your reputation? Do you know what you’re doing, beating your elders?”

Lian Che looked at Lian Hai coldly and wiped away the sweat on his forehead. Slowly, he said: “Ask them what good deeds they have done. They are disgusting. Insidious. Vicious! They tried to ruin my sister’s life! If we brothers and sisters just stood by and watched, then that would be unreasonable!” Reputation?
