The robot was nearly three meters tall, made of black metal reminiscent of ancient battle armor. The head was similarly shaped like an ancient battle helmet, with a singular electronic eye in the middle. The angles were sharp, the shape was cold, and the ratio was perfect; it looked equal parts like a fierce gorilla and a powerful Gundam. Continuing the ancient warrior theme, it carried a massive sword and wore a fur cloak reminiscent of noble generals.

Its arms were bright red as if made of blazing hot metal.

At the moment, the robot was violently charging like a speeding truck at King.

“Hey, big guy, tell me your name.”

King took a deep breath. There was no fear in his voice. With the four-star Monster Card and the Max Level Card in his deck, he would have to meet someone like Boros for the King Engine to trigger. The enemy this time is far weaker than that.

The robot walked with heavy steps and pointed at King. “Are you the one called the strongest man – King? My name is G2, a combat robot created by the Organization. I have come to kill you.”

“G2? Who is G1 to you?”

King remembered that he met a similar robot in Child Emperor’s research institute some time ago. Its name was G1.

“I don’t know.” G2’s electronic voice replied coldly, “It has nothing to do with me. I have no relatives.” His red right hand opened towards King, and his palm receded to reveal a dark nozzle.

“Burn!”

G2 attacked without hesitation, red light and hot air blasting from its palm. King felt the heat enveloping his body; the dangerous feeling made him tremble.

“Machine Gun Blows!”

While King was hesitating about which Card to use, a cold voice suddenly came from behind him. A figure flashed past, and an avalanche of fists reminiscent of sustained machine-gun fire slammed on G2. The force twisted G2’s body, causing the jet of flame to miss King and blasting a building instead.

Boom!

A massive burning hole appeared in the building.

Genos turned to King, who was wearing a cap and a trench coat. He commanded coldly, “Civilian, leave the battlefield here to me. Hurry up and run!”

He then turned back towards G2 and rushed forth. Electric arcs exploded from his fist as they smashed G2’s body. “Lightning blow!”

“Ha?”

King hesitated for a moment and then retreated. Since someone is willing to do the Hero’s job, then I will reluctantly cheer you from the audience seat!

“Run! Everyone run! It’s a Monster!”

“Is that someone from the Heroes Association?”

“I don’t know him; I don’t think he’s from the Heroes Association. Could it be that two Monsters are fighting?”

“It seems that the two mechanical Monsters are fighting.”

A crowd of people gathered from the explosion, but fear overcame their curiosity when they saw the two mechanical beings fighting each other. Most of them dispersed to escape, while the more experienced among them contacted the Heroes Association.

Bang!

“Who are you?” G2 finally asked after both of them exchanged blows several times.

“Genos.”

After Genos announced his name, he leaped into the air and spun like a windmill before suddenly aiming toward G2. “Whirlwind kick!”

Bang!

G2 hurriedly raised its hand to block him, and the jet-black heavy metal body stumbled back. “Genos, huh? Please vacate the premise. You are not my designated target.”

Genos relentlessly hit G2 with a barrage of punches. “Unfortunately for you, I have designated you as my target. Go to hell, cyborg.”

“Genos?”

King, who watched the battle close by, widened his eyes in surprise when Genos announced his name. King carefully looked at the cyborg’s cold face and confirmed that he was indeed Genos.

Metal Knight, who was hiding in G City, was shocked when G2 notified him that it had found King. He hastily turned on the video feed on his computer, ready to see King’s battle with his own eyes. However, Genos had appeared in the G2’s battle feed instead of King.

He frowned and ordered, “Quickly get rid of this annoying cyborg. Fighting King is your mission.”

“Roger!” G2’s singular eyes flashed. It snorted at the persistent Genos, “Humph, petty tricks.”

It pulled the thick greatsword on its back with its right hand and immediately slashed at Genos.

Whoosh!

Genos dodged nimbly, landing not far away from G2 with a few leaps.

“Burn!”

As if waiting for Genos to pull away, G2 raised its crimson left arm and opened the nozzle in its palm. With a flash of light, a ball of crimson flame charged toward Genos.

“Oh?” Genos frowned, but his feet continued moving to dodge the fireball to the left.

“I’m waiting for you!” But G2 already expected that. Before Genos regained his footing, G2’s synthetic voice came from the air along with the sharp glint of its greatsword.

“Dammit, I was careless!” Genos widened his eyes as he frantically tried to dodge. Unfortunately, the greatsword caught his left arm, cleanly severing it with an ear-piercing sound. Electric sparks flickered from the thousands of severed wires in Genos’ body.

“…”

King gleefully spectated the fierce battle from the sidelines. He grinned when Genos shouted about his carelessness. Hah, what a klutz!

“An arm!” G2 said coldly. His greatsword did not stop. He raised it and swept across. Genos already reacted. Almost the entirety of his body was mechanical, so his movements were unaffected by pain. He jumped to dodge the greatsword and spun again at G2.

“Whirlwind Kick!”

Bang!

The kick landed firmly on G2’s body, staggering it for a moment. It then resumed attacking Genos.

“Damn it, the difference in strength is too great.” Genos frowned, trying to think of a solution.

“You have the nerve to get distracted while fighting me! Burn!”

G2 didn’t waste the opportunity to attack. It blasted Genos with blazing flames.

“Dammit, I got careless again!” Genos exclaimed. He twisted his body, hoping to avoid direct impact. But the jet of flame was too fast. Crimson fire enveloped his body.

“…”

Alas, this klutz was hopeless.

King shook his head. It seemed that he couldn’t avoid using the four-star Monster Card.
