We’re going to hit the enemy at the altar

To cover the adventurers, Sophie used holy magic, and at the same time, the hooded woman also used magic.

The physical abilities of me, the adventurers, and the headless knight are strengthened. I thought I could defeat them all at once with my increased strength, but the woman at the altar got in my way. With the adventurers joining the fray, the battle situation was in our favor. While keeping the two standing at the altar in sight, I proceeded to go around the battlefield by the wall.

It’s not going to attack directly, but the black knight will be strengthened instead. It seems that the [Dark Breath] was used, and a black aura appeared around the Black Knight.

I knew the effect of this magic, as it was sometimes used by higher level undead. In addition, it is classified as a curse, not a consumption, and can only be lifted by holy magic. It is a very tricky magic that does not recover naturally.

I can’t just sit back and watch it get strengthened. I tried to get in the way with the fastest magic I had, but when the Black Knight swung his sword, everything was drowned out. It’s so difficult to get in the way with lower–level magic unless I make a gap.

A low-ranking demon with red skin, two horns, bat wings and a spiky tail was summoned onto the altar. The white shining magic spear hit him and stabbed him in the chest. The lower class demon, used as a shield, screamed unpleasantly as it bled blue blood.

It looked at Sophie with cursed eyes, then soared into the air and came gliding towards her.

“[Ice Ball]”

I intercepted it by hitting it with a block of ice.

When it fell to the ground, Sophie skewered it again with, [Holy Lance] and it died. It’s still at this level even if it’s at a lower rank. It was not a treat but it was able to stop us for a moment and give her some time.

“[Anti-Holy]”

As the woman finished using her magic over time, I began to feel the same evil energy from the Black Knight that I felt once, when I fought the Dungeon Master. If it has the same effect, then the effects of Holy Magic would be diminished.

As we reached the altar, the Black Knight stepped forward to protect the hooded woman.

He acts like a human despite his undead appearance. There is no doubt that these two have some human-like intelligence left in them, and with their enhancements, they were not an opponent to be taken off guard.
