Strengthening the lower half of my body even more with magic, I take a step forward. I unleashed a thrust aimed at the black knight’s heart, but his shield came between us and his body was swept away. When I was about to lose my stance, a sword came swinging down over my head.

The [Holy Lance] that Sophie unleashed slowed down as it approached the black knight, and was cut down with just one swing of the sword. The effect of the holy magic was diminished by the evil spirit.

“Is it possible to counteract the magic that is reducing the effectiveness of Holy Magic?”

“I think I can, but it will take some time. ……”

A black knight who can move in the shadows and a hooded woman who shoots magic from behind. It’s hard to fight these two if I’m trying to keep Sophie safe

“I need your support!”

Once again, I jumped into the black knight’s pocket. I’m not thinking of defeating him right here. It’s a good idea to keep your sword swings small so as not to create any gaps. I flipped and evaded the swords, exchanging sword fights. Occasionally, a black spear would fly at me, but I would use magic to knock it away. When I was being cautious to avoid even a scratch, I heard a signal from Sophie.

I strengthen my legs and do a back–step. I moved to the back of Sophie at once.

The black knight who sensed the danger stood in front of the hooded woman and held up his shield, and at the same time, a shockwave was generated that hit the entire altar.

It’s not as if the power of holy magic has been weakened. The surrounding objects were blown away and hit the wall. In the end, the black knight, who had been holding out until the end, was sent flying backwards just before the effect of the magic wore off, rolling around on the floor.

Her skin was pale, her eyes red, and her fangs were visible in her mouth, but her brown hair, droopy eyes, and gentle face that made me want to spoil her hadn’t changed since I saw her when we parted.

“Eva, you’re undead…… no, you’ve become a vampire.”

She was supposed to be a slave, but I don’t know why she’s here as an undead.

When I was confused and stopped thinking, Sophie called out to me with concern.

“You’re the one who was with Lars and Rosa, aren’t you?”

“Yes, that’s right. Yes, we were working at the same party.”

Since she had heard the story from me and Rosa, Sophie must have had an idea of what kind of relationship Eva had with her.

If she had quit being a human, she would have to fight. You can’t help her like Rosa.

While she was puzzled, the scarred black knight stood next to Eva.

“I don’t know who you are, but don’t you dare call me names. Only my [Hero] is allowed to do that.”

She hugged the black knight’s arm.

You don’t even remember me, and you think that’s a [Hero]?

It’s impossible that it’s that guy on the inside because his sword muscles are completely different from Licht’s. Maybe her memory is muddled, maybe it’s gone, maybe it’s both.

TN: He talks about the muscles that are toned during swordsmanship training. It’s different for different schools/styles.

I guess she lost them when she turned into an undead and they got clouded.

She lost the god she believed in, the man she loved abandoned her, and yet she can’t give up, so she clings to something else.

It’s pathetic. The only way I could think of to save her was to extinguish her existence.
