Just tear them apart and crush them!

We made our way through the graveyard. Skeleton Knights crawled out of the ground and attacked us, but they were all crushed by Alma, who wielded a huge mace with one hand.

When three skeleton knights flew into the air with just one swing, I couldn’t help but think it was a joke. The church knights in the vicinity would finish off any monsters that could not be dealt with, so we had no part to play.

The adventurers picked up the magic stones left behind along with the bone fragments, so we’ll have to share them with the association when we return.

The scenery was terrible, but we made such good progress that we thought we were on a picnic and came to the large hole. We descended further using the stairs. When we reached the bottom square, we decided to take a break.

“There’s a ruined city ahead. We’ve seen [skeleton knights], [wraiths], and even [ghouls], but I’m sure there are more types of undead that exist. No one has ever entered the city from here. We don’t know the size or structure of it, so we’ll have to map it out as we go.”

I told Roy and the adventurers under his command, and incidentally, Alma, so that they could hear.

This was the end of my role as a guide who had done very little work.

“Hmm. Not a single piece of decent information. I’ve wasted your time. No matter what kind of undead comes out, we’ll just tear them apart and crush them. Let’s go!”

We’ve only been resting for a few minutes, and now we’re leaving?

Alma stood up and headed for the ruined city. The church knights also silently lined up and followed her.

Sophie, our supporter, also needed to follow, but I grabbed her arm and made her wait.

I looked at Roy.

“Regina-sama said that we should go together. We should leave as well.”

The adventurers complained verbally, but as soon as Roy pressured them to “Go” in a quiet voice, they shut up and started preparing to leave.

A branch chief who can be obeyed even by force can be counted on.

“Lars–san, you can go ahead. I’ll catch up with you soon.”

He was also perfectly attentive.

Although Roy kept a fake smile on his face, he did not give me the impression that he was a dodgy guy that I had felt when I first met him. He was honest in his work, and his reputation had changed to that of a man with the ability and influence to unite adventurers.

“Sophie, come with me.”

“Yes. I have to catch up with, Alma.”

I let go of her arm and walked ahead of her.

When I came here alone, I turned back at this point, but now that I have a strong companion, there’s no problem. I entered the ruined city and proceeded to the place where I heard the sounds of battle.

As I walked along the path where there were pieces of flesh and uncollected magical stones that were probably ghouls, I finally came across Alma standing still.
