It’s been a few days since Oburaien’s attack on the mansion.

We were able to take our time …… well, not really, as we had retired from the inn and were huddled in the lord’s mansion, but we were busy helping Lux transfer his lordly authority and handle the aftermath.

“I guess that’s the document where they looked up the villages in the territory. They only use it once every six months, so put it on this shelf.”

“Lars-kun, what’s this?”

This is why Lux and Naja are asking me so many questions. I think it would be a good idea if they ask Zambia, but they’ve already done that, and even so, taking over is a time-consuming process.

As they moved, Fath-san lectured Zanbia and Varnish, which seemed to have stabilized their spirits. Between Sonia’s betrayal, the fact that he wasn’t her biological child, and Oburaien’s horrific appearance, things were happening at a rapid pace, and the two of them were quite exhausted, even though they were both involved. 

“It’s a shame about Lux-kun’s eyes ……”

As I was clearing the office, Makina said this with a furrowed brow. Lux’s one eye remained closed, the scar disappeared, but it never opened again.

“Haha, well, considering the scale of the incident, it’s a good thing he’s still alive and could have inherited the lord’s position. I don’t feel that it’s a shame.”

“Well, Orf and I will lend you hand with that, and we’ll make it work. I guess I’ll just have to start looking for a wife for him.”

“S-Sis ……”

“Is Orff at work?”

“Yes, he’ll be here in the evening.”

I wanted to try on one of Lux’s eyes, and for the past few days, I’ve been looking at everyone’s eyes with my [Super Jack-of-all-Trades] and learned that I could use it on them. I thought it might be time to try it out, so I looked at the clock and called out to everyone.

“Guys, let’s have lunch soon. I’m hungry and I want to see how they’re doing.

“Oh, yes. Dad, have you asked the maid?”

“Uh-huh. Of course, Naja. Why don’t we go to the dining room now?”

We went to the dining room, ate a light lunch of pasta, and took a short break. For the past few days, I’ve been doing things like this since morning, so I’m feeling tired.

After taking a break to drink some water, I stood in front of Lux and called out to him.

“May I see your eyes for a moment?”

“Hmm? What is it, Lars? I don’t mind, though ……”

The eyeball is still there, he can’t see because it’s been cut open, but this might be easier than Oburaien’s.

I sat down in the chair next to him, feeling moderately tired, and said to Lux.

“How’s it going?　Can you open your eyes?’

“……”

“Don’t tell me ……”

Basleigh-sensei squinted and muttered. Of course, it was what she was thinking–

“I can see ……!? No way, I couldn’t even open my eyes before!? H-How did you ……”

“Whew, so it’s a success ……”

“W-What do you mean ……? It’s Healing, right?”

“Yeah. I enhanced Healing with the power of [Super Jack-of-all-Trades] that I mentioned before. It’s hard to make it grow without injuries, but you know how Oburaien’s tongue was torn off? I’ve been treating that for a long time. I’ve been tending to it for a while now, and it helped to raise the Healing level to the wound, and Oburaien’s tongue has grown back.”

When I said that, everyone in the room rolled their eyes and fell silent. Well, it’s understandable since it’s almost like recovering from a partial loss.

“…… Thank you, Lars. Not only did you come to help me, but you even treated me …….”

“Don’t worry about it, I just happened to hear about it, so I came and helped. That’s all.”

“Thank you ……”

Lux took my hand and wept, and I patted him lightly on the shoulder.

“You’re getting better and better, Lars-kun. I’ve heard that your purpose is to let people know that [Jack-of-all-Trades] is not a failure skill, but isn’t it a different skill now? If you can’t distinguish it from the “Super” skill, won’t people be disappointed when they finally get it?”

When Makina asked back, Basleigh-sensei nodded and continued.

“Yes. The succession of Lux-kun as the lord is over. Zanbia-san and Varnish-kun are almost done with their move, though not quite. My big brother also returned to the castle with Sonia and Oburaien’s transportation. I think it’s time for us to return as well.”

“You can go back by yourself, you know, Basleigh-sensei?”

“That’s cold of you!? Well, that’s fine too, but I’d like you to report to His Majesty with me.”

“So that’s it. What about the sea?”

“Let’s give up this time. Why don’t we ask Sarge-kun to give us a ride? Ha-ha-ha.”

Basleigh-sensei was joking when she said that, but I had an idea.

We decided to go back to Illuminate, trusting that Lux and the others would take care of the Glasco territory. There will be an assistant from the castle to manage the territory for a while, so I don’t think it will be too bad.

But there is one thing that troubles me.

“What are you going to do with them?”

“Oh, yeah, I was just thinking about that. ……”

I look out the window and see the source of the trouble. There was a deadly bear father and son licking honey together, and a yawning Viking Wolf.

I tried to turn them away a few times, but the deadly bear wouldn’t budge, and the little bears and wolf showed no signs of returning to the forest. I can’t even take them back with me ……
