When I arrived at the Royal Capital’s gates, I didn’t find the normal Kingdom soldiers, but instead the gates were guarded by Marquis Raven’s militia. I chose to wait a short while for the rest of the Eighth Army to arrive.

When they arrived, I went up to the gate.

“The Eighth Army has returned and must report on our mission to His Majesty. Let us pass!” Patrick

“No” Raven Militia Guard

“Why is Marquis Raven’s militia doing guard duty? Where are the Kingdom Army guards?” Patrick

“We are obeying the orders of Marquis Raven and His Highness Prince Henry. No one is to be allowed in!” Raven Militia Guard

His Highness Henry, really?

“Eighth Army, rush” Patrick quietly ordered

The Eighth Army rushed in and subdued the Marquis Raven troops that were guarding the gate. Then they moved on through the gate to enter the capital. I followed them through.

“Eighth Army, run to the Royal Castle and reinforce any Royal Guards you find! Protect His Majesty if you can find him! I will go ahead of you!

Mirko! Visit my mansion and tell the Viper militia to meet us at the Royal Castle!” Patrick

Then I galloped off to the castle on a horse.

When I made it to the castle, I found a few Raven militia guarding the gates, but I easily defeated them and entered the castle. I walked into a pitched battle between the loyalist soldiers versus Anti-Royalist soldiers from the Kingdom’s First and Second armies.

I can’t tell who is who, their armor and weapons are the same.

“Silence, you dogs! Raise your sword against me if you quarrel with me! If you do so, I’ll send you to your maker this day! If you are still loyal to His Majesty, make way! Those who defy me now will be immediately cut down!” Patrick shouts

I let out my full killing intent with those words, which I keep suppressed, even during training. The soldiers, who had never seen this side of me, started to tremble and cower, both ally and enemy. After all, I’m known as the Bloody Grim Reaper and many of the soldiers have been through some of my infernal training. They can instinctively understand the gravity and fury behind my words.

I ran through the cowed soldiers, using a few as step stools when they chose to cower in inconvenient locations.

My current aim is to find His Majesty and my fiancée Sonaris.
