[Tiarozety’s POV]

“I wonder if I’m joining the two for no reason.”

Gregory muttered awkwardly and sat down.

“If it’s awkward to hang out alone, you can call Zion. It’s like a couple’s meeting and it would be nice.”

I made a playful reply in order to be considerate of Gregory, who was shy, and then glanced at the maid who followed.

The maid nodded and left the garden to inform Lexion.

In the meantime, another maid prepared a new tea set and poured the properly brewed tea into his cup.

“Ruden grew a lot.”

“I haven’t heard from you yet?”

“Yes. I still want to enjoy my honeymoon.”

“Yeah, that’s understandable. Both of you have suffered.”

Gregory smiled and took a sip of the tea.

I glanced at Gregory.

Gregory, whom I hadn’t seen in a long time, seemed more stable than before.

It was difficult to find the precarious appearance seen at the coronation ceremony.

Indeed, it was a time when the safety of the empire itself was imminent.

It must have been even more so since Seirin was not by his side.

In fact, Seirin’s choice was unexpected.

She was a woman who had never been outside the palace.

Accustomed to a luxurious life, living in a castle on the outskirts would be uncomfortable.

However, seeing that she lived as if she were dead, it seemed that she had learned a lot from the previous incident.

“You look comfortable, Your Majesty.”

“Really?”

“Yes, it looks good.”

I smiled and Gregory smiled back.

“It’s time to relax, isn’t it?”

“That’s right. It’s time for everyone to relax.”

I laughed at Gregory’s natural reaction.

I thought I would never be able to face him and smile again.

Because I rejected his confession and chose Lexion.

So I thought that the relationship with Gregory ended there.

Even if we meet officially in the future, we won’t be able to laugh and talk like before.

But Elencia was a good person.

She respected that Gregory, Lexion, and I were comrades-in-arms and worked tirelessly to improve our relationship.

“I think the empress is a very nice person.”

“It’s also a pearl I’ve never seen before. I’m glad I chose Elencia.”

Gregory nodded his head as if to admit it.

A smile spread across his lips, perhaps thinking of Elencia.

“Oh, my God, goosebumps.”

“What’s wrong with this? If this was goosebumps, it would have been excessive. I don’t think it’s the same as your couple, you folks are more extreme.”

“What’s wrong with our couple?”

When I asked coyly, Gregory said with his chin on his hand.

“At the scene of Chris and Alois’ touching sibling reunion, the two fell into different worlds.”

“Argh!”

Tl/N: Yeah boi Gregory hit them with facts LOL.

I couldn’t bear to hear it at all and covered my ears.

Of all things why are you talking about that time?

I thought I had forgotten everything, but it was hard to get my head around the sudden attack.

Gregory laughed out loud as if my reaction was funny.

I don’t know what’s so funny.

I fanned myself, patting the cheeks that seemed to be reddened.

“I thought you were pretending not to know, but are you attacking like this?”

“I saved it to use it at times like this.”

“You’re mean.”

When I glared at him, Gregory laughed even louder.

“I hope Ruden resembles the empress.”

“I’m sorry, but he’s already taking after me.”

“This. I can’t.”

“Keugkeug.”

Gregory let out a low, lingering laugh.

Then Elencia appeared.

“Oh, Your Majesty.  What are you doing here?”

When she spotted Gregory, her eyes widened.

“I came here because I heard the empress was here, but the queen caught me.”

Gregory got up and pulled out her chair.

It seems that all the acts of caring for lady are still his pleasure.

TL/N: Sorry I can’t rmb which chapter but it’s around the midpoint I think? When Gregory jokes that he likes doing gentlemanly things for ladies.

“I see. Why did you look for me?”

“I thought we should go for a walk together after a long time.”

As Gregory smiled softly, Elencia’s cheeks flushed gently.

TL/N: *soft squeals

The way they looked at each other was warm.

That’s what a relationship wrapped in trust would look like.

“I’m getting lonely.”

“Ah, Queen.”

Elencia sighed belatedly and pursed her lips.

Then Gregory spoke instead.

“Zion will come soon anyway.”

“Yes, I came.”

“Zion!”

I raised my head at the friendly voice behind me.

At the same time, Lexion put his hand on my shoulder and kissed my forehead.

“!!”

“Look at that. When you two are together, it turns into a different world.”

Gregory stuck out his tongue and made a displeased expression.

“It looks good, Queen.”

Elencia praised me, fearing that I would be embarrassed.

Don’t you know that it makes me more embarrassed?

While I was fiddling with my forehead where Lexion’s lips touched, Lexion sat down next to me.

“It’s been a long time since the four of us got together like this.”

“I know right, how have you been, Your Majesty?”

Elencia replied to Lexion’s words.

Gregory was snickering at me between them.

When I saw it like that, I felt like it was better than when he was just awkwardly hanging out.

Now, as I say, there was a time when Gregory deliberately avoided me after he ascended the throne.

Of course, I didn’t approach him because I felt bothered.

It was because he didn’t want to make his mind uncomfortable when he was trying to organize his mind.

I thought it was going to be awkward like this, but it was Elencia who reconciled me and Gregory.

I remembered the first time Elencia visited me.

‘I know your Majesty likes you. He said this before. As a father, as a husband, I’ll do my best. But I can’t give you my heart.’

‘Empress.’

‘I said it’s fine. Really, just being next to Your Majesty is enough for me.’

‘…….’

‘I know it’s an inconvenient request, but please understand Your Majesty. I think he needs some time. I hope you don’t feel bad and wait.’

‘Is the empress really okay with that? I’m sure you’ll hate me.’

‘I don’t hate you. After all, the one next to His Majesty is me, not the queen.’

‘Ah.’

‘And you already have a close relationship with your husband, His Majesty Sparrow, so what’s there to worry about?’

Elencia, who was laughing as if really nothing was wrong, was a fresh shock.

The Elencia I encountered in the book seemed very different from the Elencia I had seen.

Indeed, there is no way that the content that the book arbitrarily adapts can reflect the real Elencia.

Elencia was a strong person.

She also seemed to love Gregory a lot.

I thought I was lucky to have Elencia next to Gregory.

To him who was used to being alone, she was a good companion.

Perhaps it was her power that changed him.

When I looked at Elencia happily, and she asked.

“Is there something on my face?”

“No, it’s just.”

Somehow, I feel like you’ve taken his heart too.

I grinned hard, swallowing the last words.

Elencia smiled as if she had heard strange words.

It was then.

“Eueeng! Mommmmm!”

A loud cry was heard from somewhere.

Elencia heard Ruden’s cry like a ghost and jumped up.

Everyone’s eyes turned toward the door.

Ruden was sobbing in the nanny’s arms as if he had woken up.

Elencia quickly hugged Ruden.

Ruden whined as he burrowed into her arms.

“Hiccup! I had a bad dream.”

“Did you?”

“I woke up, but my mom wasn’t there… ….”

“Mum is sorry.”

Gregory stood up while Elencia patted his back to soothe him.

“Give him to me.”

“It’s all right.”

“Your wrist hurts. Ruden, come to your father.”

When Ruden heard that his mother was sick, he sniffed and hugged Gregory.

Gregory hugged Ruden in a comfortable position and told me and Lexion.

“I guess I should end the tea time with this.”

“Yes, that would be good.”

Lexion nodded lightly and stood up and reached out to me.

Having children was like having no free time.

I glanced contentedly at Gregory and Elencia soothing Ruden.

It was even nicer to see the three family members gathered in one place.

Gregory looked happy even though Ruden was crying and Elencia was in a bind.

I said, staring blankly at the empty seat of the three who had disappeared.

“I guess it’s about time for us, Zion.”

“What time?”

Zion put a shawl over my shoulder and asked softly.

I stared at him.

I already knew he wanted children.

Even the fact that he was waiting for me to be ready.

“What Zion wants.”

“What?”

“Ayyy, wow. Are you going to keep pretending you don’t understand?”

I was a bit embarrassed and averted my gaze.

Lexion seemed to have a puzzled look on his face, but suddenly put his hands under my waist and knees and hugged me.

“Wh, wh, what are you doing?”

“Ah, I was wondering if you wanted to do it again.”

“No!”

“No?”

“No… It’s not that it’s not true at all.”

I let out a chuckle at Lexion’s absurd conclusion.

It was obvious that if I went from here to the bedroom in his arms, I would be haunted by rumors for a long time.

“Let me down. I’ll walk.”

“Yes.”

Zion put me down as if he were sorry.

His reaction was very cute.

I cupped his cheeks with my hands and pursed my lips.

Then, before he could say anything, I put my arm around his neck and whispered in his ear.

“What I mean is a child, Your Majesty the Fool.”

TL/N: So sweet!! Are we gonna see kids in the last side story??!! I’m so happy that Elencia is a good person and that she makes Gregory feel at ease. I see signs of blossoming affection from Gregory too!
